I like to make music. It’s fun for me, even if it’s not fun for someone else to listen to it. If someone does happen to like it, then that’s just frosting on the beater.

I play guitar, and a little piano. I know just enough about music recording and sound engineering to be really dangerous. I like audio gear, as well as instruments. I’m equally excited about buying a new mixer as I am buying a new guitar.

I’m in a band called toaster radio, where I play guitar, sing a little, and pretend to be the producer slash engineer.

Some of my influences are Radiohead, The Police, Interpol, Beck, God Lives Underwater, The Shins, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Ben Folds, Guster, Lanterna, The Posies, Stereophonics, U2.

I also like photography. I have two old-school Minolta cameras that I use for general film photography. Sometimes my wife lets me borrow her digital camera now and then.
